Hi Atty. Ballentine,

Why can't Bush be impeached? Can someone help me with this question? What do we as citizens and voters need to do to impeach this man?
Thanks,

Hello Mr Ballentine,

I think you should reach out to Dr. Claude Anderson, the Founder and President of the Harvest Institute, Washington D.C. He has some great ideas for the improvement of the Black community. He stated in one of his commenteries that he wants to work with an Attorny such as yourself. I believe he is the author of Black Labor/White Wealth and Dirty Little Secrets.

There is one white man by the name of Alan Watt the reveals the cause behind the effect of our current situation. He strips the enemy totaly naked on his web site www.cuttingthroughthematrix.com.

My solution to our present condition is to practice solidarity and a spiritual repatriation to Africa. I agree with the NOI system of religion and dicipline. For those of us that do not agree with the NOI you can adopt the Coptic Ethiopian Christian faith. Like the Raggae artist said - a white mans god cannot save you from the white mans oppresion. Ethiopia was the first major Christian Nation besides Armenia which was an ethnic Egyptian colony by the Black Sea. Mohammads first mosque was also in Ethiopia in modern day Euteria. There were also Islamic and Coptic rulers of Ethiopia who were related. The history of The Honorable Marcus Garvey and Noble Drew Ali of the Moorish Science Temple should be studied. Books by A.J. Rogers were also good reads.

I am with you 100% on 11/02.

Warren, I listen all the time and I respect your leadership. What I would ask is that you create a site to display all black businesses prior to the black out and then have people to support those businesses on that day. I also heard that people were proposing that any money that was going to spent on that day be sent to the Jena 6 defense fund. That too, is a great idea. I just don't want to see black businesses suffer in the fight for justice.

WARREN?
If they will implement a law concerning the baggy pants, THEN they have to implement a law on "gothic" apparel. This same apparel was worn by both school shooting committed by white children.
This law like you said gives them the power find "racist" reasons to snare us, after all, who are they building the jails for?
They want our civil liberties by any means necessary.

I found the following wikipedia article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Power_(XM) that made reference to Radio One cancelling all Syndication One programming starting December 31, 2007. I found the reference link, and the corresponding article was kind of vague. But, I was wondering if there was any validity to this. The Power 169 has gone through a lot of changes lately with the removal of past talk show hosts. I would hate to see some of the current hosts be removed from the airwaves. Thanks in advance for any information that can be provided at this point.

Sincerely,
d_handsford@hotmail.com

P.S. I hope that a response can be emailed to me because I am not always able to listen to the show since I'm at work at that time.

Hello Warren ... I am so proud of your efforts and support your work for our community. I support you as a truth fighter. Additionally, I was very pleased to hear you, Rev. Sharpton and Michael Baisden talk on air together yesterday. I believe the only way we can win this battle is if we all come together.

In that spirit, I have an idea that may have been expressed before and if so, then I'd like to revisit it. I'll start by saying that I am a strong supporter of Black owned business. As such, I'd like to get your feedback on starting a "sustained Blackout" if you will, that will shift our dollars back to the Black community as a "next step" to the already scheduled Blackouts. I noticed on your homepage that you mention Radio One is traded on the stock exchange (NASDAQ: ROIAK and ROIA). For those of us who invest in the stock market either personally or through our 401K programs, this represents just one way to reinvest and support ourselves. Let us invest our money in those business ventures that invest (positively) in us. Radio One is just one example. Black Enterprise Magazine reports monthly on successful Blacks in business and successful Black-owned businesses. If we spend an estimated $630 billion annually, then imagine how empowering shifting even 1/2 of that back to the Black community would be.

Perhaps this blog could also serve as a repository for a state by state listing of Black owned businesses who support this cause.

I realize that initially, this may not be easy, but I think that venues such as yours, Al Sharpton, Michael Baisden, Tom Joyner and other Black media outlets can do a great deal in facilitating this move. After all, we must face the fact that if our movement were easy, it wouldn't be called "the struggle."

I look forward to your feedback.

Hello Mr Ballentine,

I am certainly honoring the "Black Out". Please take note: that Denzell Washington's new movie comes out on "November 2nd". Please mention that fact. Not going to the show will have a larger impact.

Warren ... There were two things that I forgot to mention in my previous message. That is that my "sustained Blackout" includes supporting our Black colleges. That means parents, send your kids to our historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). I represent the third generation of graduates from a Black college and my parents spent their entire careers teaching at Black colleges. HBCUs have produced some of our greatest Black minds and talents and I believe that given the opportunity, will continue to do the same. Warren, you are one such example of the high character and caliber of person our HBCUs have placed in this world.

Lastly, the ideas I've mentioned in these two messages requires action on the part of not only the Black consumer base, but also Black businesses and HBCUs. That action is that you treat us with respect when we enter your businesses and college corridors and college administrative offices. So many times, I have entered a Black owned business where I was treated so badly, that I never came back. Keep in mind that I have also been treated badly in white owned businesses too. I did not go back to them either. My point is Black businesses, treat us like you want and appreciate our business and not like we owe you our business and you are doing us a favor.

The same holds true for Black colleges. Please improve your business practices and living environments so that our young people know that they are in loving, safe, clean learning environments and parents teach your young ones that they are required to do their BEST in school (not just enough to get by) and that they must respect, take care of and show pride in our HBCUs. I believe HBCUs should be our FIRST choice and not our last resort when all else fails.

You are blessed by OUR FATHER to do his work and open our eyes to understand that we must fight for our right to be treated as humans. I get emotional when I hear you speak on our behalf and be so passionate about this war WE are about to embark upon. KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING. GOD will see all of us through this fight. I am all in on Nov. 2 Let no one steal your thunder and ignore the naysayers out there. I feel you have more for you than against.
GOD BLESS YOU.

O Ye of little faith

Warren I got love for you Brother please believe that, but your comment the other day, made me question your faith in God or worse yet our people. You said you weren't going to call for a boycott of Christmas shopping because you didn't think enough people wouldn't support it.

But I'm telling you now if God brings you to it he'll bring you through it, no one thought the bus boycott would last for as long as it did but it did when people are sick and tired of what's going on they'll do anything to bring some relief short of bleeding cause we all know that Black people are scared to bleed Malcolm X was prophetic with that verse.

You need to instill in the people that November 2nd-4 is just a test run or dress rehearsal for the real thing if we want to effect this economy we have to hit the Christmas spending cause that's when the retailers make up all of their profit. I believe that there are enough people who have the discipline, courage and wherewith all to not shop during the Christmas holiday to effect change.

I know your a Christian as am I but have you reached out to Minister Farrakan for his support agreeing to make concessions for the Muslim's to by from their own store's if the need to but we all know they have more discipline than most if called upon. Cause we need everyone in on this to make it successful so you have awhile to start ringing the bell that the boycott for Christmas is on.

I know that the outcome of this action will be successful Like the movement of the sixties were but to truly change the policies of America for ever it's gonna take a revolution, or military action that's really the only thing that Europeans understand ask Suddam Hussien or the Japanese why do you think your president doesn't want Iran to have nuclear capabilities, cause then we can't bully the middle east anymore.

And he's afraid of karma knowing that where the only country to drop a nuclear bomb on someone. I'm couple years older than you I'm the same age as Mr. Baisden and am fascinated with world history especially american history and being a veteran and currently serving in the reserves, so I have some insight on how this country views military might. Ask the Haitians what it took to expel the french and America from there land it took blood for them to win there independence. So while economics will have some effects to start the ball rolling to have lasting change were going to have to bleed for it, I'm already on ready set waiting for the rest of my brothers and sister's to say go.

Sincerely the Soldier truth fighter,

A. Vaughn

Hi Mr. Ballentine,
I was listening to your show today and you made a comment, "to be a good christian is to be a good muslim and to be a good muslim you have to be good christian". well my problem isn't with that my problem is the statement made after that when you said that muslims don't believe in Jesus, i have to correct you on this statement. It is by far one of the most terrible misconceptions that most people have about muslims. The Quran even speaks of Jesus and his miraculous birth. so could you please make the correction on air. We as muslims definitely don't need anymore negativity thrown our way. thank you, Aminah from Atlanta,Ga.

Hello Warren, as the scales of justice are not in our favor, we as people of color should generate a fund for our brothers and sisters that sit in jails, and wait for these biased public defenders who dont give a damn about us .we need more of you, that are willing to represent pro bono. Foundations can be established spicifically for this purpose. We need to stop stealing donated funds and direct what we collect to the right place.

Recently I have been trying to rally people on myspace to take a stand in the Movement- under one name or another they all serve the purpose of stomping out injustice and building equal justice... I even composed a song- and yet it seems like people are just too blah and stupid even to 'disagree'- well you have a truthfighter here in the tradition of funk, rock, and hip hop- all wrapped up in a rally cry called "The Noose" myspace.com/stlokhan... Blackout ready on November 2nd for as long as it takes!

Excerpt from by site:
Join the Anti-Noose Movement! Legislation is necessary to make hanging a noose a hate crime- equal to burning a cross in the name of white power- or simply ni**er get out! We need to stop this seemingly simple snowball from leading to all the chaos it has revived like a monster we thought we put to sleep, underground years ago! RACISM has reared its ugly head like Medusa on steroids within the last year and its time to give that disgusting diseased- maggot-brained system of pain a swift kick in the ass! through legislation, which will move law enforcement to protect versus prey on our citizens of color, and let the devils who kill, rape, and abuse the innocent- KNOW that they will be dealt with by any means necessary and face federal law... but if the federal law does not reflect civil rights how will we ever be able to enforce human rights?! "We won't let the noose tighten around our necks!" Support the Blackout! Boycott on November 2nd and the timeless battle freedom fighters will continue to engage in until racial inequality and injustice are left behind- IN A HISTORY BOOK!

FEMA - The Dark Under-belly

by Bob Worn
Reposted from The Konformist Newswire

Some people have referred to it as the "secret government" of the United States. It is not an elected body, it does not involve itself in public disclosures, and it even has a quasi-secret budget in the hundreds of billions of dollars. This government organization has more power than the President of the United States or the Congress, more power than "the people", it has the power to suspend laws, move entire populations, arrest and detain citizens without a warrant and hold them without trial, it can seize property, food supplies, transportation systems, and can suspend the Constitution.

Not only is it the most powerful entity in the United States, but it was not even created under Constitutional law by the Congress. It was a product of a Presidential Executive Order. It is not the U.S. military nor the Central Intelligence Agency. These organizations are subject to the control of Congress. The organization is called FEMA, which stands for the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Originally conceived in the Richard Nixon Administration, it was refined by Jimmy Carter and given teeth in the Ronald Reagan and George Bush Administrations.

FEMA had one original concept when it was created, to ensure the survivability of the United States government in the event of a nuclear attack on this nation. It was also provided with the task of being a federal coordinating body during times of domestic disasters, such as earthquakes, floods and hurricanes. Its awesome powers grew under the tutelage of people like Lt. Col. Oliver North and General Richard Secord, the architects on the Iran-Contra scandal and the looting of America's savings and loan institutions. FEMA has even been given control of the State Defense Forces, a rag-tag, often considered neo-Nazi, civilian army that will substitute for the National Guard, if the Guard is called to duty overseas.

THE MOST POWERFUL ORGANIZATION IN THE UNITED STATES

Though it may be the most powerful organization in the United States, few people know it even exists. FEMA has crept into our private lives. Even mortgage papers contain FEMA's name in small print if the property in question is near a flood plain. FEMA was deeply involved in the Los Angeles riots and the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake in the San Francisco Bay Area. Some of the black helicopter traffic reported throughout the United States, but mainly in the West, California, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Colorado, are flown by FEMA personnel. FEMA has been given responsibility for many new disasters including urban forest fires, home heating emergencies, refugee situations, urban riots, and emergency planning for nuclear and toxic incidents. In the West, it works in conjunction with the Sixth Army.

FEMA was created in a series of Executive Orders. A Presidential Executive Order, whether Constitutional or not, becomes law simply by its publication in the Federal Register. Congress is by-passed if they choose not to contest it within 60 days.

Executive Order Number 12148 created the Federal Emergency Management Agency that is to interface with the Department of Defense for civil defense planning and funding. An "emergency czar" was appointed. FEMA had spent only about 6 percent of its budget on national emergencies while the bulk of their funding had been used for the construction of secret underground facilities to ensure continuity of government in case of a major emergency, foreign or domestic.

Executive Order Number 12656 appointed the National Security Council as the principal body that should consider emergency powers. This allows the government to increase domestic intelligence and surveillance of U.S. citizens and would restrict the freedom of movement within the United States and grant the government the right to isolate large groups of civilians. The National Guard could be federalized to seal all borders and take control of U.S. air space and all ports of entry.

Here are just a few Executive Orders associated with FEMA that would suspend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. These Executive Orders have been on record for nearly 30 years and could be enacted by the stroke of a Presidential pen:

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990 ( 27 F.R. 1527 ) allows Secretary of Transportation to take over ALL modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports. It also gives the Secretary of Commerce full control of the production and distribution of ALL construction materials, gas, oil, and power as well as ALL civilian, private aviation facilities, highways and seaports.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995 ( 27 F.R. 1519 ) allows the government to seize and control the communication media. It establishes the Telecommunications Management Agency that provides for the "takeover" of ALL communications media in the United States. This includes broadcast and cable television, ALL radio stations, ALL satellite earth stations and satellites and ALL telephone companies and telephone systems in the United States.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10997 ( 27 F.R. 1522 ) allows the government to take over ALL electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels and minerals. In other words, ALL sources of energy.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10998 ( 27 F.R. 1524 ) allows the Secretary of Agriculture to take over ALL food resources and farms and farm equipment. This means that all privately owned farmland and food resources will be commandeered by the Federal Government, together with all farm implements and equipment used to work this land. ALL will become the properety of the Federal Government.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11000 ( 27 F.R. 1532 ) allows the Secretary of Labor to "mobilize" civilians into work brigades under government supervision. That's right, every working American will be under the direct supervision of the Federal Government. Where you work now or want to work in the future is not a consideration. You will be required to work where you are told to work. Have you ever considered the term "slave labor"?

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001 ( 27 F.R. 1534 ) allows the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare to control ALL health services, doctors, hospitals, etc., ALL welfare services and All educational programs and facilities, public and private.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002 ( 27 F.R. 1539 ) designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of ALL persons in the United States. This will account for every American, his or her location and "status".

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003 ( 27 F.R. 1540 ) empowers the Federal Aviation Administration to take over ALL airports and commandeer ALL aircraft, including commercial aircraft.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004 ( 27 F.R. 1542 ) establishes the authority for the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) to take control of ALL housing, lodging and community facilities in the United States. This means the relocation, to a place of the government's choosing, of any part of the population they choose to move. In other words, it doesn't matter where you live now or what property you own, it will become the property of the government and THE GOVERNMENT WILL TELL YOU WHERE TO LIVE. It will relocate entire communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005 ( 27 F.R. 1544 ) empowers the Interstate Commerce Commission to take over ALL railroads, inland waterways and public storage facilities.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051 ( 27 F.R. 1688 ) specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international or domestic tensions and economic or financial crisis.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310 ( 32 F.R. 12877 ) directs the Department of Justice (Janet Reno?) to enforce the plans set out in All Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate ALL penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11490 ( 34 F.R. 17567 ) authored by Richard Nixon consolidates all previous Executive Orders into one act of law. It also gave the Department of Justice the power to control "alien enemies" and all "other aliens" and to provide for their location, relocation, restraint and/or custody. It also provides the power to seize ALL property of the alien enemies and "other aliens". No definition of terms was given to know who "alien enemies" or "other aliens" are. It is left to the discretion of the Department of Justice, i.e. Janet Reno! It allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution of ALL energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money in U.S. financial institutions in any undefined national emergency. It makes mandatory the confiscation and control of ALL monetary items and the entire financial structure and assets of the United States of America, public, private and institutional by the Secretary of the Treasury. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months.

And last but not least, on 20 July 1979 "You Can Trust Me" President Jimmy Carter authored Executive Order 12148 ( 44 F.R. 43239 ) which completes the plan for the COMPLETE DICTATORSHIP RULE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. In this E.O. President Carter places the powers previously given to separate agencies or departments/administrations under the SOLE CONTROL of FEMA - the Federal Emergency Management Agency. He also "handed off" to FEMA many powers previously held ONLY BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA such as FULL CONTROL OF THE MILITARY FORCES. Yes, FEMA can now assume the powers and duties of the President, in violation of the Constitution of the United States of America. All that is needed to implement these controls is the declaration of a national emergency by any President. Neither Congress, previous Presidents nor the courts have ever rendered a definition of a "National Emergency"!

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has broad powers in every aspect of the nation. General Frank Salzedo, chief of FEMA's Civil Security Division stated in a 1983 conference that he saw FEMA's role as a "new frontier in the protection of individual and governmental leaders from assassination, and of civil and military installations from sabotage and/or attack, as well as prevention of dissident groups from gaining access to U.S. opinion, or a global audience in times of crisis."

FEMA's powers were consolidated by President Carter to incorporate:

the National Security Act of 1947, which allows for the strategic relocation of industries, services, government and other essential economic activities, and to rationalize the requirements for manpower, resources and production facilities;

the 1950 Defense Production Act, which gives the President sweeping powers over all aspects of the economy;

the Act of August 29, 1916, which authorizes the Secretary of the Army, in time of war, to take possession of any transportation system for transporting troops, material, or any other purpose related to the emergency; and the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which enables the President to seize the property of a foreign country or national.

These powers were transferred to FEMA in a sweeping consolidation in 1979.

SOUTH FLORIDA / SOUTH LOUISIANA "FUBAR" FOCUSED ATTENTION ON FEMA

FEMA's deceptive role really did not come to light with much of the public until Hurricane Andrew smashed into the U.S. mainland. As Russell R. Dynes, director of the Disaster Research Center of the University of Delaware, wrote in The World and I, "...The eye of the political storm hovered over the Federal Emergency Management Agency. FEMA became a convenient target for criticism." Because FEMA was accused of dropping the ball in Florida, the media and Congress commenced to study this agency. What came out of the critical look was that FEMA was spending 12 times more for "black operations" than for disaster relief. It spent $4.3 billion building secret bunkers throughout the United States in anticipation of government disruption by foreign or domestic upheaval. Fewer than 20 members of Congress, only members with top security clearance, know of the $4.3 billion expenditure by FEMA for non-natural disaster situations. These few Congressional leaders state that FEMA has a "black curtain" around its operations. FEMA had worked on National Security programs since 1979, and its pre-decessor, the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency, had secretly spent billions of dollars before being merged into FEMA by President Carter in 1979.

FEMA has developed 300 sophisticated mobile units that are capable of sustaining themselves for a month. The vehicles are located in five areas of the United States. They have tremendous communication systems and each contains a generator that would provide power to 120 homes each, but have never been used for disaster relief.

FEMA's enormous powers can be triggered easily. In any form of domestic or foreign problem, perceived and not always actual, emergency powers can be enacted. The President of the United States now has broader powers to declare martial law, which activates FEMA's extra-ordinary powers. Martial law can be declared during time of increased tension overseas, economic problems within the United States, such as a depression, civil unrest, demonstrations or scenes like the Los Angeles riots, and in a drug crisis. These Presidential powers have increased with successive Crime Bills, particularly the 1991 and 1993 Crime Bills, which increase the power to suspend the rights guaranteed under the Constitution and to seize property from those suspected of being drug dealers and individuals who participate in a public protest or demonstration. Under emergency plans already in existence, the power exists to suspend the Constitution and turn over the reigns of government to FEMA and appointing military commanders to run state and local governments. FEMA then would have the right to order the detention of anyone whom there is reasonable ground to believe...will engage in, or probably conspire with others to engage in acts of espionage or sabotage. The plan also authorized the establishment of concentration camps for detaining the accused, but no trial.

Three times since 1984, FEMA stood on the threshold of taking control of the nation, once under President Reagan in 1984, and twice under President Bush in 1990 and 1992. Under those three scenarios, there was not a sufficient crisis to warrant risking martial law. Most experts on the subject of FEMA and Martial Law insisted that a crisis has to appear dangerous enough for the people of the United States before they would tolerate or accept complete government takeover. The typical crisis needed would be threat of imminent nuclear war, rioting in several U.S. cities simultaneously ala South Central Los Angeles and any other city, a series of national disasters that affect widespread danger to the populous, massive terrorist attacks, a depression in which tens of millions are unemployed and without financial resources, or a major environmental disaster. [COMMENT - VC: How about Y2K?]

THREE TIMES FEMA STOOD BY READY FOR EMERGENCY

In April 1984, President Reagan signed Presidential Directive Number 54 that allowed FEMA to engage in a secret national "readiness exercise" under the code name of REX 84. The exercise was to test FEMA's readiness to assume military authority in the event of a "State of Domestic National Emergency" concurrent with the launching of a direct United States military operation in Central America. The plan called for the deputation of U.S. military and National Guard units so that they could legally be used for domestic law enforcement. These units would be assigned to conduct sweeps and take into custody an estimated 400,000 undocumented Central American immigrants in the United States. The immigrants would be interned at 10 detention centers to be set up at military bases and other detention centers throughout the country.

REX 84 was so highly guarded that special metal security doors were placed on the fifth floor of the FEMA building in Washington, D.C. Even long-standing employees of the Civil Defense team of the Federal Executive Department possessing the highest possible security clearances were not being allowed through the newly installed metal security doors. Only personnel wearing a special red Christian cross or crucifrx lapel pin were allowed into the premises. Lt. Col. North was responsible for drawing up the emergency plan, which U.S. Attorney General William French Smith opposed vehemently. The plan called for the suspension of the Constitution, turning control of the government over to FEMA, appointment of military commanders to run state and local governments and the declaration of Martial Law. The Presidential Executive Orders to support such a plan were already in place. The plan also advocated the rounding up and transfer to "assembly centers or relocation camps" of at least 21 million American Negroes in the event of massive rioting or disorder, not unlike the rounding up of the Jews in Nazi Germany in the 1930s.

The second known time that FEMA stood by was in 1990 when Desert Storm was enacted. Prior to President Bush's invasion of Iraq, FEMA began to draft new legislation to increase its already formidable powers. One of the elements incorporated into the plan was to set up operations within any state or locality without the prior permission of local or state authorities. Such prior permission has always been required in the past. Much of the mechanism being set into place was in anticipation of the economic collapse of the Western World. The war with Iraq may have been conceived as a ploy to boost the bankrupt economy, but it only pushed the West into deeper recession. Please remember that a deep recession or all-out depression would be a cause for declaring martial law. Think of what the stock market is doing and the upcoming crash.

The third scenario for FEMA came with the Los Angeles riots after the Rodney King brutality verdict. Had the rioting spread to other cities, FEMA would have been empowered to act. As it was, major rioting only occurred in the Los Angeles area, thus preventing a pretext for a FEMA response.

On July 5, 1987, the Miami Herald published reports on FEMA's new goals. The goal was to suspend the Constitution in the event of a national crisis, such as nuclear war, violent and widespread internal dissent, or national opposition to a U.S. military invasion abroad. Lt. Col. North was the architect. National Security Directive Number 52 issued in August 1982, pertains to the "Use of National Guard Troops to Quell Disturbances."

The crux of the problem is that FEMA has the power to turn the United States into a police state in time of a real crisis or a manufactured crisis. Lt. Col. North virtually established the apparatus for dictatorship. Only the criticism of the Attorney General prevented the plans from being adopted. Intelligence reports indicate that FEMA has a folder with 22 Executive Orders for the President to sign in case of an emergency. It is believed those Executive Orders contain the framework of North's concepts, delayed by criticism but never truly abandoned.

The crisis, as the government now sees it, is civil unrest. For generations, the government was concerned with nuclear war, but the violent and disruptive demonstrations that surrounded the Vietnam War era prompted President Nixon to change the direction of emergency powers from war time to times of domestic unrest. Diana Reynolds, program director of the Edward R. Murrow Center, summed up the dangers of FEMA today and the public reaction to Martial Law in a drug crisis:

"It was James Madison's worst nightmare that a righteous faction would someday be strong enough to sweep away the Constitutional restraints designed by the framers to prevent the tyranny of centralized power, excessive privilege, an arbitrary governmental authority over the individual. These restraints, the balancing and checking of powers among branches and layers of government, and the civil guarantees, would be the first casualties in a drug-induced national security state with Reagan's Civil Emergency Preparedness unleashed. Nevertheless, there would be those who would welcome NSC (National Security Council) into the drug fray, believing that increasing state police powers to emergency levels is the only way left to fight American's enemy within. In the short run a national security state would probably be a relief to those whose personal security and quality of life has been diminished by drugs or drug related crime. And, as the general public watches the progression of institutional chaos and social decay, they too may be willing to pay the ultimate price, one drug free America for 200 years of a free and dynamic republic. God forbid!"

The first targets in any FEMA emergency would be the Hispanics and the blacks. FEMA's orders call for them to be rounded up and detained. Tax protesters, demonstrators against government military intervention outside U.S. borders, those who are ever vocal to point out the shortcomings of the government or the present administration and the grossly apparent usurpations of the citizens' rights by that government and people who maintain weapons in their homes are also targets. Operation Trojan Horse is a program designed to learn the identity of potential opponents to martial law. The operation set up by the FBI at Burke, South Dakota (The Tri-State Militia) is an outstanding example of a Trojan Horse. The program lures potential protesters into public forums, conducted by a leader of the people who advocates readiness and survival training. The list of names gathered at such meetings and rallies are computerized and then targeted in case of an emergency. Just a short time ago, the news broke of a highly sophisticated Top Secret computer system in the White House called WHO DB. It is reported that this data base contains over 200,000 persons. It tracks such things as whether the subject supports or opposes issues such as same sex marriages, gays in the military and whether the subject speaks out against the administration. Yes, patriots will be targeted!

The most shining example of America to the world has been its peaceful transition of government from one administration to another. Despite crises of great magnitude, the United States has maintained its freedom and liberty. This nation now stands on the threshold of rule by non-elected people asserting non-Constitutional powers. Even Congress cannot review a Martial Law action until six months after it has been declared. For the first time in American history, the reigns of government would not be transferred from one elected element to another. The Constitution of the United States will be "suspended". The same Constitution that many of us swore to "support and defend against all enemies, foreign or DOMESTIC".

Dear God, where are my comrades, why do they not rally?!

The scenarios established to trigger FEMA into action are generally found in the society of today; economic collapse, civil unrest, drug problems, terrorist attacks, distrust of the government by a majority of the people, protests against American intervention in a foreign country. With all of these premises existing, it could only be a matter of time until one of these triggers the entire emergency necessary to bring FEMA into action, and then it may be too late, because under the FEMA plan, there is no contingency by which Constitutional power is restored.

Hello Attorney Ballentine,

I wanted to drop a line to say that I appreciate everything that you are doing to help protect our young people. We, in the Black community must now stop the complacentcy because these White racists are snatching our children out of the schools to institutionalize them into their penal systems. I am worried about our young Black folk, especially our males. We have a Jena situation here in Columbus Ohio. Our incident involves 11 children, ages 11-17 and these children have been held by the juvenile authorities for over 3 weeks now. Attorney Byron Potts is the lead attorney, whom took on this case pro-bono. Maybe you can contact him about the details. What I do realize is that we all must work together. Our children have been and are now more than ever being agressively attacked. It is our job to protect them. I am also informing as many people as I can about the Nov 2 Blackout. I think though that you might want to consider contacting Tom Joyner to assist you in getting the word out. He has a large listening audience here.

I myself had heard of you, but did not know how to contact you until a friend from BlackPlanet informed me. I have also contacted some orgainizations here as to what we are going to do about the Columbus 11, but they have not developed a strategy yet. They are asking that the community attend a city counsil meeting Nov 6 to address this issue. In the meantime, these children are locked up in the juvenile system. Law enforcement is off the hook up here. Please let me know what can be done to assist you. I am also trying to reach Tom Joyner to let him know about the Blackout. He may already know.

I did contact someone named John Gregory of Teach Enterprises whom is involved in the Columbus 11 situation. He stated they may be having a press conference. As in Jena, very few people are aware of the incidents surrounding the Columbus 11. I am waiting for Attorney Potts to return my call because I do not understand, how can the law just keep these kids on lockdown? Where is the due process? I think it would be a good idea that if you attorneys and the DJs got together and held some type of symposium to educate our community about the rights of an individual when confronted with law enforcement. It appears to me that the law is doing what it wants to do, regardless of whether it is legal or not. Peace be with you Brother and please feel free to contact me if you should ever need any assistance. I will try to keep you informed about the Columbus 11.

Please let us know, we miss your valuable information.

Atty. Ballentine,

We have bigger issues than injustice on Black American people in our country.

More importantly, there are more problems within the black communities we have to take care of before reaching out to other sectors. Most of our young generation is uneducated, more fault of there own than of anyone else. Education is provide at all levels, but it is up to the parents to stress how important education mean to survival. We must provide guidance to the youth because so many of them do not understand what's going on.

As we look at many of the problems with our youth, most these problems could have been avoided if people were educated enough to know how to handle these type situations. I know you have heard the term "It takes a bigger man to walk away". The reason to walk away is not to sweep it under the rug, but to avoid ignorance and not allow yourself to be part of the problem, but to find a reasonable solution. As we embark on our journey, I would hope the youth truly understand that this is not about black and white, but about equality for all.

people need to cut out this racial bickering. it's the fucking 21st century. there's no wave of racism in the US, just small, unrelated incidents by such a minute percentage. people want the federal government to do something about this? and because they aren't, people are going to boycott businesses on 11/2? seriously, this makes no sense.

and also, the jena 6 incident should not be compared to REAL racial struggles that happened back when there was real racism. 6 kids beat the shit out of someone, almost to death. they should NOT be honored or considered heroes.

Sometimes I wonder if certain Negroes are participating in this world or just living happily ever after by associating with those who don't look like them. Eventually, your "buddies" will call you out. Then how much sense will it make to you?

Does anyone have information on where to purchase Radio One stock? I do not think you can purchase it directly.

Kudos to Mr. Don Lemon, Ms. Kyra Phillips, and CNN for the reporting on "Race in America" today 2:00pm segment.

Also, "islandman" thank you for publishing those Executive Orders on government departments. We must educate ourselves!

Thanks Ballentine.

Finally, someone takes a serious stand fighting for American children. I believe you are not discriminating and fight for them all. Thanks for that.

As you said:

"If the federal government is not doing what it's supposed to do, we protest. There's nothing more American than what I'm calling for."

“President Bush's request for $196 billion in war spending and his veto of a children's health insurance bill.”

This is good news. Children get support form you that knows best how civil rights are worth fighting for.

As Graeme Frost said: “I just hope the President will listen to my story and help other kids to be as lucky as me." He was thinking of all children of America as well. Let’s stay together in this union for our future.

I just made Graeme Frost a person to be reviewed for the Rafto Prize ( http://www.rafto.no/ ) by recommending him to the Rafto Committee.
The leader of the committee replayed that my request will be considered.
Do you know any American people who could give good arguments for a prize to him? The best would be research centre, Noble Peace Prize winners or other people the Rafto
Foundation would listen to.
Rafto laureates are selected on the following criteria:
1) A recipient should be an active participant in the struggle for the ideals and principles underlying the Human Rights Charter, or be an embodying symbol of these.
2) A recipient may be a person or an organisation, and two or more recipients may share the prize.

Recipients are selected and each year’s prize amount determined by the Board.

Remember the prize has been given to four people that became Noble Price winners.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graeme_Frost

I believe Graeme Frost is a Human Right Activist fighting for the most basic human right of one of the most important groups in the world - our children. He is both an active participant and a symbol of the struggle and pelong to the group. I do not think we can ask too much of independent active involvement from this group for natural reasons.

I believe such a prize should be given to a person that are part of the group he fights for. Furthermore, giving the prize to an American can have a rapid impact for many kids in America. America is also a ideal for many poor people and countries, and this will therefore have a great impact on the world.

As you know:
The UN Children’s Rights states that:
EVERY child and young person under 18 has rights and responsibilities. They’re protected by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. It’s been signed by every country in the world, except the USA and Somalia ( http://www.unicef.org.uk/youthvoice/pdfs/uncrc.pdf ). Article 6 (Survival and development): Children have the right to live. Governments should ensure that children survive and develop healthily.http://www.unicef.org/crc/files/Rights_overview.pdf

Seldom in our western world do people stand up against their government and in a clear voice express the wrongdoings of our societies. Even more rarely do they get punished for what they believe, and triedd brought to silence by government where they live. But it happens, and it happens still in 2007. Why does it happen, and way does it happen in the United States of America - the land of the free, and one of the richest countries in the world?

In 1963 the words “I have a dream …“, and in 2007 the words “ … I just hope …“ gave such reactions in the United States of America. Both were expressions by fighters for suppressed minorities achieving what they believed in, and both were examples of a dark side of how some in the American government tackles people they do not support.

The first quote is from Martin Luther King Junior fighting for the civil rights of African Americans. We all know from our history how he later got his Nobel Pease Prize, but was sadly taken away by a fellow American citizen. Perhaps the killer was influenced by his contemporary lack of understanding.

The second is from 12 years old Graeme Frost fighting for the human rights of poor children in America. Graeme said “… if it weren’t for CHIP, I might not be here today. … We got the help we needed because we had health insurance for us through the CHIP program. But there are millions of kids out there who don’t have CHIP, and they wouldn’t get the care that my sister and I did if they got hurt. … I just hope the President will listen to my story and help other kids to be as lucky as me.”

This was too much for American politicians. They felt it was appropriate to spread lies to stop “this enemy of the decider.” “I just hope” Graeme will be treated with the respect he deserves.

I also hope he will beat Martin Luther King Junior and become the youngest ever to receive the Nobel Peace Price or the Rafto Prize. I believe Martin Luther King Junior would have liked that as well - if he were still among us.

Sincerely,
Your Norwegian friend

I hope that the boycott strategy continues, but it must be targeted to specific corporations and organizations. The press on this was poor, I only saw one spot on CNN. Education about our collective wealth and the fact that we do not get our money's worth in our K-12 school and city services are under par. While more money is spent to surveillance and arrest instead of protect and serve. This is a tool we can use but we must plan like the Montgomery, Alabama in 1945.

america ????

i have a simple question.....but first, let me say that i am a listener, and it troubles me to know that "most" of the subjects discussed have a spin that still blames all of black americas problems on the white race....i will be the first to admit that racism still exists in this great country and it will probably be so for about the next 50 years or so, maybe longer...but when caucasians are no longer the majority in this country or no longer the power brokers, who will black america blame then ? are we fighting for the wrong thing in black america ? first look at all the crime and violence of blacks against other blacks all over this country, the 50 percent drop out rate of black kids in high school, the 4 to 1 ratio of black males in prison ,probation or parole to black males in college, the fact that black people, black senior citizens, and black women and children are the only race or group of people in america that cannot live in peace in their own communities, because of the fear of being victimized by criminals and thugs who share their same skin pigment...what about the fact that as black people we are 92% more likely to be robbed, burglarized, carjacked, assaulted, raped or killed by other blacks in our own homes or neighborhoods ?i personally feel like there is something wrong with this picture....what are our "so-called black civil rights leaders" doing or attemting to do about addressing these problems ? look at philadelphia ? they are expecting over 400 murders of blacks, by blacks......how can other races of people take us seriously as a race with all these problems, and many, many others that i did not touch on ? so are the calls for "blackouts", which i personally think was a flop, and marches on the justice department premature ? would it be better for black america if we at least tried to fix the problems in our own communities before we try to go and blame whites for things that are important but not as important as peace in black neighborhoods...the jena 6 are criminals and they should be punished or at least atone for what they did, the wilson case was quite different and i am happy out his outcome, i noticed that black america has still not heard most of facts about the megan williams case, only that the peope that did it were caucasian and because the black panther party is assisting her is the one reason the masses of black america is not in masses there...i feel that if the so called black leaders did more to address the problems in black america that i mentioned earlier the masses would support them more, it seems like the leaders want to support criminals and thugs and get angry if some, most ,or all, of black america think they are fools and just looking for fame or the spot light such as jackson, ballentine, and sharpton...in closing...god bless the good, honest, non-criminal, and hard working black people in america...and god bless america !!!

Mega Churches
This topic disturbs me. I am a proud member of New Birth, Lithonia, Ga. and yes I believe the Pastors (all of them) deserve all that God has promised them. It's their for the Kingdom, Bro. Ballentine, so when you get on your knees tonight and pray for forgiveness and place your request at the throne of God's feet, if it's God Will do you deserve your supplication?
